The customer is always right

Today when my husband was shopping at Tesco, a security guard waved a few customers away from a till saying the cashier was closing. The next thing we saw was the cashier serving another lady who had nipped in. Another customer was quite upset at this and quite rightly too, as he was waved away from that till. The security guard tried to say that the lady's shopping was there already - but it was not.

This made me think. This lady was obviously known to the cashier so gave her preferential treatment and the other man no customer service at all.
